2021.10.27 14:20 pcLEMON_ Transitioning from hospitality to SaaS Sales
Just wondering if there is anyone who made the switch from hospitality to sales. Currently I've mostly worked in the hospitality industry as a server and I want to make the switch to sales given I do a form of selling as it stands. I have an interview with ADP for an inside sales role tomorrow and I want to know if there is anything I can do to position my hospitality experience in a way that will be favorable. The recruiter said to quantify the sales I make regularly but I don't keep track of anything like that. What should I do?
Also the position has a base of 35k with an OTE 50k. Is this even good? I'm in PA.
Thank you in advance for any help!

2021.10.27 14:20 fredsangels 6 months today
it's been exactly 6 months today since we got the news that my dad died. it feels like it was just yesterday when our neighbor sat my mother and I down and told us what had happened. and we still clung on to the hope that it wasn't his body that they'd found in the lake.
I've had a few moments of intense, unbearable pain, but I feel nothing now. I'm not really sure how to feel what I'm feeling, it's so strong and overwhelming. i just feel empty most of the time. like I can only skim the surface of the pain, but I'm not strong enough to jump in and embrace it.

2021.10.27 14:20 Errol_Sweatstank Brian Chippendale (Lightning Bolt, Black Pus) vocal effects
I'm interested in recreating extreme vocal effects like those used by Brian Chippendale. Probably best seen here, between 9 and 10 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqcfL21YUB4
I've checked his [Equipboard](https://equipboard.com/pros/brian-chippendale?gear=effects-pedals) and he uses a Line 6 DL4 delay, Boss OD-3 overdrive and DigiTech WH-4 whammy on his vocals - but I've got no idea how you'd go about recreating this kind of sound in Ableton, as I'm still relatively new to music production. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

2021.10.27 14:20 willboss27 Chapter 6 - ... And Broken Bones
I won't be doing a 'Preface' anymore, because I'm lazy. You can go through my post history and you'll find the rest of the story chapters pretty quickly, since that's pretty much all I've been posting lately.
As for the individuals that star in this chapter; u/Mr_Renn, u/Capswick and u/Skafflock
Walking down Roarhaven was no simple task for an assassin like Skafflock. Sigils littered the streets that were capable of detecting known criminals and sending signals rippling through the Whispering to the Supreme Mage. For Roarhaven, symbol magic had flourished and become a normal practice for many sorcerers. Of course, only those who went down the path of the Signum Linguist had the most potent, most powerful versions of these symbols. But with the rise in Neoteric numbers and magically ambidextrous sorcerers, more and more people had begun studying the discipline with more care and practice than ever before.
Years ago, sorcerers had the mindset of a specialist. Choose a specific discipline, then spend the rest of your life trying to become good at it. But now that wasn’t enough. After seeing the terrific displays of magical abilities showcased by the Mevolent from the Leibniz Universe, and the raw unstoppable power of Abyssinia and her father, the Royalty of the Darklands, many sorcerers had grown interested in developing themselves in other areas. Seeing as how anybody could employ the use and reap the benefits of symbols, this is where the majority of them started.
This influx of symbols led to the advancement of symbol magic in ways that were previously unthought of. With China Sorrows herself spear-heading the progress from her retirement, symbols that nullified noise, enhanced a users chosen discipline, cleaned Roarhaven of pollution and provided security were just some of the types of symbols that were created. The last use concerned Skafflock greatly, as these security symbols were directly connected to the Whispering, which was connected to the Supreme Mage himself. One wrong move, and Skafflock’s presence would be known to everyone in the city in mere moments.
However, Skafflock did have some tricks up her sleeve. Her beauty, for instance. She’d seen the way men looked at her. Watched her walk when they thought she couldn’t notice. Their eyes following the curvaceous lines of her body. She could use this to her advantage. Walking up to a young man, she tapped him on the shoulder and gave him her best smile, wiggling her hips gently for extra effect. The young man's mouth dropped open, and his eyes widened at the sight before him.
Skafflock put one finger underneath the man’s chin and slowly shut it. She smiled. “I’m looking for a dear friend of mine, and I’ve been meaning to catch up with him for a while now. He sent me his address but I’ve lost it. Would you know where he lives?” She tilted her head slightly, giving the man a full blast of her eyes, partially hidden behind black hair. She handed him the piece of paper with the name on it.
With ragged breaths and envious eyes, the young man gave her directions. Morwenna Road. With a smile and peck on the cheek, she was off on her destination. Taking the smaller roads was easier, she reasoned, as there was less reason for security to be installed there. Changing direction slightly, she hurried to the darker corners of Roarhaven, where most of the populace didn't dare traverse. Here, she was alone and couldn’t be accosted by eager market folk. The outer edges of Roarhaven had not seen the same special treatment that the inner parts had. Here, the cobblestone roads had patches in them, which allowed for water to collect in their shallow basins. Rotting timber of neglected houses stank of wet wood and sewerage. Rats and mice scurried along the edges of the great Roarhaven Wall. A 30ft tall structure of white concrete. A physical manifestation of Roarhavens isolation from the world. Here, Skafflock was unbothered. But life didn’t always go your way. Skafflock had barely made it down the side-street when a grizzled man walked out from a shady spot in a corner, his hands lighting up with energy. Three others joined him. One had fire in his palm. Another’s crackled with lightning. The last man stood to the side, not appearing to wield any discipline. That one made her weary. All wore filthy construction garments. But construction was not the cause of the filth under their skin.
The grizzled man spoke up. “Miss, we was wondering if you had change on your person.”
Skafflock grinned and flicked her hair back. “Nothing on me boys, besides skin.”
The broad shouldered one that had his hands by his sides licked his lips. “That sounds about fine with me.”
Lightning Man laughed. “It sure does Rocky. It sure does.”
Skafflock paused. “Wait. Your name is Rocky? As in Rocky Balboa?”
The man grimaced. “It’s a good film!”
“Enough of the small talk,” the grizzled man butted in. “It’s time for some fun lads!”
Well, there goes having a peaceful walk.
The man raised his arm and suddenly a beam of energy was hurtling towards her. She dived to the right, keeping low and moving forwards. The man swept his arm across his chest, carving a semicircle into the ground. Grabbing a misshapen shape of metal, Skafflock used the dents as grips. Using it as a makeshift shield, she held it before her, feeling the intense blast of the energy slamming against it. Moving forwards slowly, she got closer to her target. But a heavy punch from the man named Rocky sent her staggering away. She’d dropped her shield, but Grizzle, the energy-thrower, had spent his energy. Now was the best time for her. Ignoring Rocky, Skafflock lunged forwards, batting the energy-thrower's arm down and driving an elbow into his chest. She went to follow the man, but was forced to duck as lightning danced overhead. Swinging around, she grabbed a throwing knife from her boot and threw it at the source.
Turning before it met its target, the only evidence that suggested that her aim was true was a wet squelch and a bellow. The man holding fire in his palm interrupted her hunt, getting in between her and Grizzle. She ducked under a thrown fireball and punched the elemental’s armpit, who she’d decided to call Flamy, then darted one in under the ribs. Flamy, gasping for breath, tried to shove flames in her face, but Skafflock grabbed his hand and wrenched it to the side. Leaving the man to fall on his knees and scream at his broken hand, she turned back to Rocky. Moving surprisingly quickly for a big fellow, he was upon her in a second. He backhanded her and sent her flying into a brick wall. Scrambling, she barely avoided a second bolt of lightning. The man wielding the lightning, now called Sparky, had blood running down his left leg, forcing him to hobble and put his pressure on his right. She made for him but was sent careening sideways as a bolt of energy slapped her in the ribs. She hit the dirt. Great.
She rose off the ground, drawing level to Rocky’s groin, and punched it. She was expecting to smash his bits to bits. Instead, upon impact, Skafflock watched as his skin rippled, and he drew back a fist and swung downwards. His fist connected with her shoulder and sent a wave of pain crashing through her body. A damn Kineticist. Great.
On her knees, Skafflock pretended to be dazed. Rocky grinned, revealing yellowed teeth, and his hands went to the zipper of his pants. Then Skafflock reached out and lightly tapped his right hand. With a wet snapping sound, all the bones in the man's hand shattered. Leaving him to scream in pain, Skafflock rose up and ran towards her next target. A broken hand no longer his primary concern, Flamy sprang up, an arc of fire coming from his fists. Skafflock dodged the fiery fists, grabbed him by the shoulder and pushed him into the path of the lightning directed their way. Screaming from the pain, the man collapsed in a steaming pile and didn’t get back up. Skafflock turned to face Sparky. The man was panicking now, and his lightning began to fizzle out. Reaching him now, Skafflock smiled at him as she gently tapped his arm. With a cracking sound, his entire arm splintered and he began screaming. She punched him in the head, snapping his head back, to shut him up.
As she turned away from Sparky, Skafflock was hit by another beam of energy, sending her spinning. She righted herself, in time for Rocky to crack his knuckles across her cheek. Alright then. Play time was over. Righting herself, she ran towards Rocky and jumped. In mid-air, she snapped out her leg and swung her fist. Striking against his shin and nose at the same time, she felled him. Moving quickly, watching his skin ripple as the kinetic energy flowed through him, she pressed her palms against each of his legs. She felt every bone in both legs break and shatter. His body slumped to the ground and folded over itself, no longer being supported. She’d read in a report that Tesseract, an infamous bone-breaking assassin, had done a similar thing in America many years ago. That report had convinced her that bone-breaking was for her.
Breathing hard, her breasts rising and falling, she turned to her final prey. The energy-thrower. Grizzle. The man was crying, spewing out apologies and dribbles of snot and saliva, as he begged for his life. Skafflock followed the man as he stumbled back with a grunt, knowing not to give him space. The man, in a panic, flailed around and managed to slap Skafflock across the face. Baring her teeth in anger, Skafflock grabbed the offending arm, applied pressure to the man's shoulder, and pulled as hard as she could. With a loud popping sound, the man's shoulder dislocated.
Leaving the man screaming in pain, Skafflock smoothed down her tailored coat, now covered in dust and blood, adjusted her boots and pulled up her black pants slightly. Checking herself over for injuries, and satisfied there were none, she continued forward. Some might have thought that leaving them alive was a mistake. What if she was identified? But Skafflock knew that by the time somebody found them, she’d have found her target. By the time someone believed them, she would be long gone.
‘I have to be more careful,’ Skafflock thought, grabbing some leaves from her pocket to chew on. ‘I can’t get hit like that.’
Despite the armoured clothing she wore, she was still very fragile. To every discipline, there was a setback. With elementals that specialised in fire, they were vulnerable to great amounts of water. With kineticists, too much energy from a powerful blow could rupture them from the inside out. With bone-breakers, the sacrifice they made was their own skeletal structure. By taking on the ability to shatter another person's bones with a light touch, their own bone structure had become extremely fragile, and prone to breaking. Skafflock had to be more careful. Luckily, she made it to her destination without being held up again. In the middle of Morwenna Street was the house. A grand thing, two stories tall, wide with a nice front garden. Undoubtedly there’d be security measures in place. Only the best for teachers of Corrival Academy. It was time to get to work.
It took her two hours dismantling all the safeguards. Two hours. She targeted the technical side of the security system first, busying herself with sigils and cutting wires. Every now and again, Skafflock was forced to duck behind a bush to make sure she wasn’t seen by a nosy member of the populace. After that was done, she worked on the magical security. With many homes and businesses, this house had also employed a combination of sigil magic and the Wall-Walkers ability of ‘Withstand’, which made it far more difficult to gain access to homes and buildings. The back door was no different, but she soon made it through with lock picks and some symbol magic of her own. She was in.
Keeping low, she realised she was in a kitchen. Making sure her boots didn’t make noise on the ceramic tiling, she crept forward down a hallway. Reaching the end, she could hear people talking. Risking a peek, Skafflock saw two young men playing a video game, the floor before them littered with doritos and mountain dew . She recognised the older boy reading a novel. Capswick, a talented teleporter and book enthusiast. And next to him was her target. Flint Renn. The runaway who Fletcher Renn had taken under his wing. Another teleporter. Having decided on the best course of action, Skafflock silently began carving a very specific symbol in the hallway. She crept back down the hallway and carved one in the kitchen for good measure. There. No teleporting for them. As she got up from carving the one in the kitchen, she heard movement. One of the boys was walking towards the kitchen. She relaxed herself, ready for the ambush.
Capswick walked out of the room. Up close, Skafflock could see the stubble on his chin and the bright blonde curls of his hair. Skafflock saw that he was holding a baseball hat in one hand. Time slowed, and Skafflock knew exactly what was happening. Capswick had sensed something. Sure enough, when he arrived at the kitchen entrance, he swung the bat. It smashed into the wall where Skafflock’s head had been moments earlier. Rising from the roll, Skafflock darted in to take him on, and Capswick rushed to meet her. Raising the bat, he blocked her punch, then twirled it like a baton and swung it in an overhead arc, aiming for her shoulders. Skafflock swiped a pan from the kitchen tabletop and raised it above her head, just in time. The bat shook her entire arm, but she stood strong. Kicking out with a leg, she took one of Capswick’s legs out from under him. She swung the pan down, aiming for his head. She hit…. Nothing? What?
Skafflock turned in a circle slowly, thinking. This was the house of a teleporter. Was it built specially for one? Then she saw it. The sigil carved into the ceiling, counteracting her own. They were free to teleport whenever they wished. Damn it. But had he alerted Flint? Abandoning all attempts at stealth, Skafflock bolted down the hallway, colliding into Flint, who had entered the corridor. They both went down, Skafflock grabbing onto Flint’s shirt. Getting up, Skafflock punched Flint as hard as she could in the face. Flint howled and shoved her back. Getting up, he charged into Skafflock, knocking her into a small table that held a vase of flowers on it. The vase toppled and smashed on the floor, coating the floor in water. Snarling, Skafflock raised her arm to hit him again when she felt someone grab her from around the waist and throw her down the corridor. Capswick was back.
“Flint, get out of here!” Capswick yelled, rushing forward with another bat in his hands.
“No,” Flint cried, “this is my house and I will defend it!”
‘They’re both nuts’ Skafflock thought as she grabbed one of her knives and met Capswick yet again. She snaked the knife forward, slicing it down Capswick’s forearm. Turning around, she barely avoided the taser Flint had tried to bury into her side. Electricity crackling, he lunged forward. Skafflock, seasoned fighter against electricity, moved towards Flint, surprising him. Trapping his arm, she disarmed him and tossed the taser aside. Flint responded, kicking at her legs and grabbing her by the throat. He threw her into Capswick’s arms, who applied a choke hold. Interesting. Skafflock dug her nails into Capswick’s forearm, biting into the cut. Capswick yelled in pain and let go. Skafflock turned and punched him in the chest, driving him back. Not giving him space, she punched him right in the face, flooring him. She heard a noise from behind her and turned to face Flint once more.
Flint was back, swinging a metal pole. Skafflock broke a bannister piece and met him. They traded blows, neither giving the other quarter or mercy. His metallic weapon was stronger, but heavier to wield. Hers, on the other hand, was lighter and faster. She cracked her makeshift weapon against his legs, but received a hit on the hand in return. Flint moved forward, bringing it over in an overhead swing that Skafflock barely stopped.
Flint gritted his teeth. “I don’t know who you are, but you will not leave this house.”
“Do you really think you’re capable of murder Renn?” Skafflock retorted.
Flint snarled in response and pushed Skafflock away. Not settling for peace, both combatants rushed forwards, meeting each other halfway. Skafflock slide her bannister pole down the length of Flint’s metal pipe and twisted savagely, ripping his makeshift weapon out of his hands. Swinging her weapon up in a cruel trajectory, it crashed into Flint’s chin and lifted him off his feet. Breathing hard, she made to follow when she saw Capswick at the end of the hallway. He charged towards her, and swung his bat in a vicious arc, the cut on his arm leaving a bloody streak in the air. At the last moment, he teleported. Skafflock barely had time to move before the bat appeared, Capswick on the other end of it. Cursing, she moved towards him but he disappeared. She tried moving, but Capswick was there again, swinging a dumbbell. Skafflock stumbled and staggered and did her level best to avoid the otherwise lethal arcs of his arsenal. He was good. Very good. This time, he came back without anything. Instead, he moved forwards and grabbed onto Skafflock. He was going to take her somewhere.
‘Not a chance.’ Skafflock thought grimly. Her palm open, she hit him in the chin, dazing him.
Shaking herself from his grasp, she turned to see Flint getting ready to throw a knife at her. She darted forward, grabbing the table and swinging it forward. It collided with Flint and sent him off his feet. Skafflock moved forward. She couldn’t waste a second here, otherwise he’d decide teleporting away would be a good idea. But he was cocky. This was his house. He wouldn’t abandon it or his friend without a fight. Good.
Skafflock got to Flint and kicked him in the head. Eyes rolling in the back of his head, he was unconscious.
“No!” Capswick roared, rocketing in a punch that cracked Skafflock’s ribs. Her ribs on fire, Skafflock tried evading Capswick’s grasp but he was quicker than her now. He grabbed onto her coat and brought her forward, headbutting her. He arched back, ready to do it again. As he did, Skafflock grabbed one of her throwing knives from her coat and put it between them. Despite the pain blossoming, she heard the sound of the knife entering his side. Capswick gasped, rearing back as his body tried to understand what just happened. This was her chance. To end it now. She fell to her knees and reached out, fingers outstretched but Capswick teleported away. Snarling, she had to think of something. She stepped in something wet. The water from the vase. A plan formed, and she moved to grab the taser quickly. Dragging Flint’s body beside her and leaving one hand resting on his chest, she crouched at the border of the wet carpet, waiting in eager anticipation. There’d be no way he’d leave his friend here at the mercy of a stranger. Heroes were so predictable. As if Capswick could read her thoughts, he teleported back in, wielding an axe this time, his side drenched in blood. He had decided to go lethal. Too late. She pressed the taser into the wet carpet and switched it on. Capswick seized up, the electrical currents running through his body. He collapsed. Not taking any chances, she crouched over his body and tapped his left left, breaking the shin bone. Rising up, she looked over at Flint, who was still unconscious.
Moving slowly and jamming a leaf in her mouth, Skafflock fished out the recyclable phone she’d bought this morning. Amazed it still worked after everything that had happened today, she dialled the number. The job was a success.

2021.10.27 14:20 JustToLurkArt Catholic AMA Questions
Periodically a Catholic will post an AMA in the religious subs. I can never remember my questions so I’m posting them here to copy/paste when I’m on my cell. Please feel free to comment and suggest edits.
Disclaimer: I am not attacking Catholicism. I do not say Catholics aren’t Christians. I’m Lutheran and Lutherans consider Catholics to be brothers and sisters in Christ. Lutherans and Catholics actually agree on much and personally I’d love nothing more than reconciliation. Until that time we’re left to discuss our points of contention while not being unfairly contentious.
Potential Catholic AMA questions:
1. Andrew is was the first of the apostles to be called to follow Jesus aka Protoclete or “the first called”. Andrew was with John the Baptist when John called Jesus “the Lamb of God.” Andrew was the first disciple to point out that Jesus was the Messiah, “We have found the Messiah” e.g. anointed one aka Christ. (John 1:40-43)
Q: If Jesus wanted Peter to start from day one having a special precedence among the apostles – then why orchestrate these events for Andrew to have precedence at these somewhat important points?
2. Roman Catholicism claims it is the Church founded by Jesus Christ.
Q: Why did Saul ask Jewish priests for letters to be sent to Jewish synagogues to find followers of the Way? Why would Jewish priests care about an entirely new religion? For that matter why would Saul go to Jewish synagogues – to find Roman Catholics?
2. On the road to Damascus this Saul (later Paul) is converted. He hears Jesus’ voice instructing him to go to the house of Judas in Damascus. (Ananias was instructed by Jesus in a vision to restore Saul’s sight there.) Ananias laid hands on Saul, restored his sight and Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 9:17.)
Q: Why didn’t Jesus send Saul to Peter? Why have Ananias lay hands on Paul to be filled with the Holy Spirit? Why didn’t Jesus set a clear precedent for Catholicism’s strict view of apostolic succession and command Saul to go to Peter in these matters?
3. Paul, writing to his new church plants, is adamant to record that the influence of the apostles made no difference to him. Paul writes, “I didn’t go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me …” In fact Paul waits 3 years after his conversion to even go to Jerusalem to visit what he deemed the pillars and esteemed leaders.
Q: Wouldn’t new Church plants need to be informed about Peter being the vicar of Christ in primacy and authority over all Churches? Why didn’t Paul acknowledge that Peter was the one from whom confirmation should be sought?
4. Later Paul did travel to Jerusalem to visit the pillars and esteemed leaders. Paul did not acknowledge Peter to be one from whom confirmation should be sought. In fact Paul records that James, Cephas and John were all pillars and all gave him the right hand of fellowship.](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+2%3A1-10&version=ESV)
Q: If Jesus anointed Peter in primacy and authority over all, then why does Paul describe Peter’s ministry simply as an apostle to the circumcised (aka Jews)?
5. We know from Acts 15 that James presided over the Jerusalem Council and that James made the final judgment on the matter, “Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God.
Q: Why would men from Judea (Jerusalem Jesus followers/Pharisees) travel to Antioch to teach a new religion comprised of Roman Catholics that they must be circumcised in order to be saved?
6. Eusebius records that James was elected the leader to preside over the home Church in Jerusalem on account of the excellence of his virtue and because Peter, James and John did not strive for honor. Church History Book II, chp 1.2 and 1.3 In Acts 15
Q: If Jesus anointed Peter the leader in primacy and authority over all, and Peter was the vicar of Christ, then why do Peter and the apostles totally ignore that to then elect James to lead the home Church and preside over Church councils making final judgments?
7. Paul records that Peter ate with the Gentile converts but would withdraw himself when the men from James would visit. In fact the rest of the Jewish Jesus followers joined him in this hypocrisy. Paul states it was because Peter was afraid of the party of the circumcision. Paul confronted Peter publically asking, “how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”
Q: Why would Peter, supposedly in primacy and authority over all Christendom, ignore Roman Catholic Jesus followers to side with Jewish Jesus followers and compel the Gentile Christians to live like Jews?
8. In his own words Peter describes himself as an apostle (apostolos: Greek, a messenger, one sent on a mission) of Jesus Christ Peter also describes himself as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ.
Q: Why would Peter ignore Jesus Christ’s direct charge and ignore plainly stating that he was anointed by Jesus Christ as the leader in primacy and authority over all Christendom?
9. At the turn of the century the church in Corinth was struggling with local bishops/elders/presbyters. Clement, a Roman bishop, wrote them a letter to reassert the authority of the local bishops/elders/presbyters as rulers of the church on the ground that the Apostles had appointed such. The First Epistle Of Clement To The Corinthians, Chp 44
Q: Why would the bishop of Rome reassert the authority of local bishops/elders/presbyters – and not set them straight, put his foot down and assert his (e.g. Rome’s) primacy and authority over the Church?
10. Ephesians 2:19-20 lists Christ Jesus as the cornerstone. Peter describes Jesus as the living stone and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. 1 Peter 2.
Q: Frankly Peter seems chronically confused and ignorant about his Roman Catholic office throughout the New Testament. Why doesn’t the New Testament record that the household of God is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets with
Christ Jesus Peter himself being the cornerstone in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord?
11. Augustine’s allegiance was unequivocally to Rome – but because he believed: Peter from the rock; not the rock from Peter. Augustine felt Peter’s pre–eminence (and therefore Rome’s) was in Peter being blessed to represent the disciples and the body of believers (aka the Church) in the teaching of Matt. 16*. (John Rotelle, The Works of Saint Augustine, Sermons on the Saints, Vol. III/8, Sermon 295.) Augustine felt that “Christ is the rock, Peter is the Christian people. Peter is so called from the rock; not the rock from Peter; as Christ is not called Christ from the Christian, but the Christian from Christ. Jesus says I will build thee upon Myself, not Myself upon thee. … that Peter might be built upon the Rock, not the Rock upon Peter.” Philip Schaff, Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, Volume VI, St. Augustine, Sermon XXVI, 1-2. “For petra (rock) is not derived from Peter, but Peter from petra; just as Christ is not called so from the Christian, but the Christian from Christ. For on this very account the Lord said, "On this rock will I build my Church," because Peter had said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." On this rock, therefore, He said, which thou hast confessed. I will build my Church. For the Rock (Petra) was Christ; and on this foundation was Peter himself also built. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Christ Jesus.” Philip Schaff, Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, Volume VII, St. Augustine, On the Gospel of John, Tractate 124.5
Q: Why is Augustine is wrong?
(Note: Lutherans have no problem with Peter representing the Church in the teaching of Matthew 16. Likewise Lutherans have no problem with Peter being among the select few in Christ’s inner circle nor do we have a problem with Peter being afforded respect as first among equals.)
12. John’s Gospel relates “Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.” – John 20:21-23 (emphasis mine.) As a result of having the Office of the Keys the apostles, elders and church leaders could now “loose and bind” (Matthew 18:15-19; 1 Corinthians 5:1-13; 2 Corinthians 13:10; Titus 2:15; 3:10-11).
Q: If Peter was anointed by Christ to be in primacy and authority over the entire Church, literally the vicar of Christ who speaks infallibly from the chair of Peter, then why does scripture clearly record that any authority Peter was supposedly assigned – was clearly also shared by other apostles, elders and Church leaders?

I’m currently sitting in a parking lot when I should be at my office having a breakdown. I can’t stop crying, I’m having a panic attack. I told my boss I had to step away and pull myself together. She said I could go home but I can’t, my employee isn’t in the office today and we can’t close because we’re in a grand opening phase.
My mind is fucking with me, the intrusive thoughts suck, they’re telling me I’m going to have another psychotic break, that I’m going to end up in the psych ward, that I’m losing touch with reality and making me question my past. Whether or not my memories of my life growing up are real or imagined. My dreams aren’t helping. All of the thoughts I had during my breakdown last year. I don’t know if it’s the PTSD fucking with me or if they’re actual legitimate thoughts. I hate this, I hate not being nuerotypical. I don’t wish this disease on anyone.
I feel so alone and I’m mad because I don’t feel like I have any support, no one in my life understands and I’m my grateful for that, neither of my sisters inherited this and I’m truly happy they don’t have to know this pain and struggle. My mom was the only one who understood because her mom is who I inherited this from. My moms gone, she died 10 years ago and now I have no one. I have no family because they refuse to believe I have mental health issues, they’re toxic Christians who would rather believe satan has a hold on me and am on drugs. I’m glad to be away from them.
I see my psychologist tomorrow. I see my therapist Monday. I just want to be normal, I’m tired of being scared. I’m mad as hell that I’m feeling this way. I don’t want to feel these feeling but I’m tired of suppressing the fear and sadness and pretending I’m find and ending up like this, in a parking lot sobbing and shaking and barely holding it together and I just don’t don’t what to do anymore. I just want a hug and someone to hold me and someone to genuinely love me and care without ulterior motives…

Xparsian Knight Order of Free Stars
During the reign of the Gek Empire over Xparsia, The Knight Lord Hiwaya founded a secret order of knights in the caves of the planet Hiwaya. The knights of this order learned to fight for freedom and they had also learned a lot about the spiritual universe. With this knowledge, the knights defeated the Geks and freed Xparsia from the Geks. The knights of freedom never die because they have learned to become one with the universe, When they die. when a Xparsian knight dies, that knight becomes an enlightened knight. A dead knight can still be part of the order after his death to protect Xparsia.

2021.10.27 14:20 Twellett The Tarroka reading is an amazing part of this campaign. First time running it and it’s an amazing feeling as a DM to discover what cards are drawn at the same time as the PCs. Are there any other campaigns that use a similar mechanic?
